Day 49: Sweet Mapley Goodness!

Mass: 91.5 Kg
Mass-Loss to date: 11.5 Kg
Mass-Loss Remaining: 5.5 Kg
Phase: Cruise!

It's been a while, but  I've got a few things to report. My mass has been sitting around 91.5-92.0 Kg for over a week now- I really wish it'd shift again! A little more effort I suppose- doesn't help when it's so cold! I had a bowl of soup at school yesterday, and chose the Vegetable and Lentil variety. You'd think healthy, but with a few pieces of potato and the lentils, apparently that's a no-no. Oh well!

I saw my family on Saturday night and my sister, also doing the Dukan, suggested sugar-free Maple Syrup (technically, Maple Flavoured Syrup). I had a look, and sure enough: no sugar! The sorbitol used to sweeten is does have an energy content, but at only 220 KJ/100mL, that's half the energy of Vinegar! I figure that's gotta be OK! (even if it isn't on the permitted foods list- pft!) Bacon, galette and Maple Flavoured Syrup- heaven!

Lunch on Sunday consisted of various permitted foods; I thought I'd let you in. Clockwise from the top: Boiled Egg (yolk mixed with yoghurt, mint and paprika), Chicken Leg (no skin), Cheese (<3% fat), Hap and a Pickle. Not bad. It's a shame the cheese is ultra-processed, and I pretty much can't find any that isn't (but still <3% fat).

In other news, Dukan finally updated their website. I doubt they did in because of my rantings, but it is a nice change. The Tolerated Foods List is now featured alongside the recipe book and is very east to find. The instructions for each phase are no-longer an image of text- they're actual text. The recipe books are laid out a bit more intuitively. Everything is a little bit more polished and better represents the product you've purchased. The pre-generated comments haven't improved (that would require a lot more labor), but it's a start. Well done, Dukan.
